Doctors and nurses have been around for a long long time, and I am sure there is no one out there who doesn't actually know what a doctor is. They can come in various different forms, such as a Physician Doctor, a dental doctor (Dentist), Audiologist which is a hearing doctor, and many more. In recent years we have seen many adaptations of a Doctor in TV programmes and films, if you turn on the TV now you will no doubt find the programme "Scrubs" being played back to back on comedy central, this classic programme has been going for around ten years, and it has a huge cult following in the USA as well as the UK. The first season tells the story of two interns J.D. and Turk who have just started training to become a doctor at the Sacred Heart Hospital. In the first season they get taught by the slightly sarcastic mentor that is Dr. Perry Cox. So if you were to ask the average teenager what a doctor looks like or is like to them, I am sure the series of "Scrubs" may come up in the conversation.
