One of the best franchises out there that shows off the zombie craze to its full extent is the recent Walking Dead. This TV programme was originally based on a comic which told the story of a cop who survived a zombie outbreak. Once the outbreak takes place he finds another group of survivors in which he travels round with in the hope of finding a solution to this worldwide problem, or just finding other survivors. The Walking Dead is one of the most recent zombie TV/adaptations out there, and it proves why the zombie craze is such a fantastic idea for anyone to dress up as! The first season has now finished but the second season will be airing very soon! Also this show was nominated for a golden globe proving to an unfamiliar viewer of the show that this is a respected franchise.

Films that have helped to make the zombie franchise so popular include Resident Evil and Zombieland. Both of these films are well known to the public, and also in the not too distant future there will be further sequels to both of these films, simply proving again that the zombie craze is pretty cool right now, and it won’t be going uncool anytime soon!
