Crave Trading Limited was incorporated in December 2003 with the company owned by 4 friends who had seen an opportunity to become one of the UK’s largest party and fancy dress costume retailers. The website www.lets-have-a-party.co.uk was set up as the main trading website for the company in April 2004 and started selling party supplies, balloons and fancy dress costumes and accessories.

After about 18 months of trading and continuous growth the directors of the business decided to split the 2 parts of the business, balloons and party supplies would be moved to a new business www.especially-balloons.co.uk while the fancy dress costumes business continued to trade as www.lets-have-a-party.co.uk. The business continued to grow steadily but was still run from home until July 2006, when the business had grown so much that premises were need to store the products and have enough space. Crave Trading moved into premises in the Forest of Dean with 2000sqft of space and continued to grow, taking on their first member of staff in August 2007. Growth continued at an amazing pace, often doubling year on year and in July 2008 the business moved into a new unit with 3500sqft of space and took on another member of staff.

Even during the recession of 2009-2010 the business continued to grow, doubling sales each year and in August 2009 they moved to a 11,000 sqft warehouse in Chepstow. The business now stocks in excess of 4000 products, employs 6 people and continues to grow becoming one of the largest fancy dress costume retailers in the UK.
